Running Muzak

A friend of mine recently asked me for some running music recommendations. Over the past few years, running and music have come together in a glorious, yet very commercialized marriage (I admit, I have and continue to use Nike+ on my iPod, mostly as a pedometer). It has even gotten fairly scientific, with music being recommended for runners at different BPM.

When training for the NYC marathon last year, I listened to a lot of electronic / space / dream / progressive / art rock: M83, Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, The Album Leaf, etc.
