i saw willie nelson on letterman tonight (as i pathetically worked on an ms excel spreadsheet), and it made me want to go dig up all of my good old outlaw country music.
disclaimer: i do not listen to country pop, alternative country, or whatever other garbage is out there today.
i'm talking willie nelson, waylon jennings, johnny cash, and kris kristofferson: the highwaymen.
a very select few recommendations:
"desperados waiting for a train" - the highwaymen
"ghostriders in the sky - willie nelson and johnny cash
"pancho and lefty" - willie nelson (and merle haggard)
"boy named sue" - johnny cash

My dad and I went to see Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. I was more excited about Bob Dylan but ole Willie really worked it out on stage! I think I liked him even better! Harry did too!
Harry, even though he scarred me as a teenager by never referring to me as a man, has excelente taste. Willie is the man.
